This iconic bird is on the brink of extinction. We have lost 99% of our African Penguin population through no fault of their own.

African Fish-Eagle - Visarend

African Fish-Eagle - Visarend

You needn’t be a serious birder to recognise the yodelling yelp of this striking raptor. Often described as the sound of Africa, the sound evokes lazy rivers and palm-fringed lakeshores, often in duet with the grunting of hippos. And the bird itself, in its black, white and chestnut finery, is equally unmistakable.

The only Jensen Tourer in the world on display at the 2017 Hermanus Whale Festival

This 1939 Jensen Tourer is only surviving example in the world, and is still running in its complete and original form. It epitomizes the glamour of the 1930s era, the Gatsby days, and indeed the most glamorous actor of this time, Clark Gable, was a great Jensen fan.
